Not sure I'm ready for this one - it's one hell of an episode. As always, Herrick has some of the best lines. And there's the Wrath of God, so much promise. But Mitchell really broke my heart.
Oh, I missed it!
But enjoyed your more-special-than-Twitter thread very much, Star...
It was like this: we had a field trip on Tuesday -100+ students loaded onto 2 coaches in the wee hours (8.00 am is quite wee if you're a student, I seem to remember) - and ho! for Newcastle under Lyme and a matinee. Then I took taxi to Stoke and train to Manchester, and another train to Leeds and another taxi to my mum's. And I'd already decided to chicken out of hauling the laptop on this trek, BUT was going to send messages of soulful missing of rewatch on Wednesday... but then my mum went to bed and I decided to make a rice pudding. And went to the cupboard under the sink for the sieve. And stood there up to my ankles in scuzzy water and floating onions, for the kitchen sink had sprung a leak and the cruddy waste water had been rising, rising, and taking the pan lids and onions with it. And, nearly, me.
So Wednesday became a day of cupboard love and hunt-the-plumber... and I missed the rewatch, missed even checking in with apologies for missing the rewatch, cut my finger trying to mend the sink myslef BEFORE starting to play hunt-the-plumber...
(But the rice pudding turned out OK.)
Well, that's pretty much as near to twitter as I've yet got then... a solo rewatch can be a very stylish thing then, but still so sad I missed out on the night. Talk soon
