Hi! I see a lot about which characters are in what Hogwarts House and thought it might be fun to do a BH version. Hopefully this will spur on some discussion about the characters! If you are rusty on your Harry Potter facts, usually people describe Gryffindor as brave, Slytherin as ambitious (and sometimes a bit evil), Ravenclaw as smart, and Hufflepuff is the catch-all house. We never really get a main adjective for them. There's a fan-canon that they are good at finding things.
So BH has a lot of characters over five seasons so I'm just going to put a few, what I think their house would be. Feel free to add or disagree! I am hoping we can get some discussion going on our favorite characters!
George: Ravenclaw
Annie: Hufflepuff (there's no shame in being a Hufflepuff)
Mitchell: Slytherin (maybe? he doesn't actually seem very ambitious...)
Nina: Ravenclaw or perhaps Gryffindor?
Tom: GRIFFINDOR!
Hal: a Slytherin if I ever saw one. Not just because he is a vampire, but we know he started as an illegitimate child of a sex worker turned mercenary and ended up pretty close to the top of the heap and was willing to do anything to get there. A Ravenclaw during one of his periods of being nice, but I think overall Slytherin. Anyone want to way in on this?
Cutler: Slytherin! All that ambition to be a History Maker?
Herrick: Slytherin (most of the vampires we meet are)
Seth: I'm just gonna say Hufflepuff haha not sure if he's clever enough to be a Slytherin!
Rook: Ravenclaw
Ok, so that's enough to get something started? Add on or dispute my choices, but let's see if we can get a discussion going!
Oo interesting idea KindlyOnes :) 'Hmm, now let me think!'
With Hufflepuff I'd read them described as hard working and also loyal, I always think of them as kindhearted/ generous - so Annie definitely belongs to Hufflepuff :) And they don't seem to get the credit they should.
Ok I pretty much agree with your choices of House ~
George - can only be inRavenclaw!
Annie- as I said aboveHufflepuff!
Nina- for me, with all that feistiness, has to beGryffindor!
Herrick - definesSlytherin!
Seth - I'd go for Slytherin! Being stupid doesn't rule you of Slytherin, look at Malfoy's henchmen, and did like to suck up to people!
Mitchell - he's a difficult one, when blood drunk is a contender for Slytherin but I agree that he lacks ambition and I think thatHufflepuff suits him best! He does have a kind heart.
Tom - easy, Gryffindor!
Hal - could be Ravenclaw when off the blood but for all the reasons Kindlyones stated I have to go withSlytherin!
Alex- was a bit of hard one as she's very caring but she's also fearless and self sacrificing so another one for Gryffindor!
Cutler -Couldn't be anything other thanSlytherin!
Rook -Again hard, can rule out Hufflepuff but could make a case for the 3 others, I lean toRavenclaw due to having to be a quick thinker!
And yes I had fun putting pretty colours on the blog!

I'd put George in Gryffindor, definitely. Yeah he was smart, just like Hermione, and he made his share of mistakes. But, barring a few distractions (ahemSamahem) he always tried to do the right thing, and consistently stepped up to save the people he loved.
Littlebluestar - I love your sorting...agree totally.
It made me smile that Annie and Mitchell would be in Hufflepuff together, but feel a bit sorry for Tom ending up Nina and Alex....! Not sure how George would get on with Rook either. If Voldermort'd had Herrick, Seth, Hal and Cutler on his side I think things may have turned out differently for him with the whole world domination thing....or would Hal have a change of heart and become Snape? That's messing with my head now.....lol!
Thanks fifi! Fleem, I think that you might be right about George, and if he was inGryffindorhe would be with his Nina! (Still makes me teary eyed!) And so Rook would be on his own which I think would make him very happy ;) Hal is such a flake that I think he'd do a Snape but, for how long?
Just had a thought: Lucy would be ideal for Ravenclaw!
But where would Lauren go?

UMMMM They LITERALLY discussed this VERY TOPIC right IN THE SHOW. Basically they all 3 said Slytherin was "admitting you're a sociopath" (Mitchell) and Hufflepuff was "all glue and safety scissors" (Annie) so Ravenclaw and Gryffindor were the only real choices.
