She's the lass in that portrait, and it's the story of how she divorced John Ruskin to become Lady Millais - a spiffing Victorian scandal but none of THAT sort of thing (I think) but plenty of Art and Afternoon Tea for all - Jane Austen would have felt right at home...
Millais - second from the right - I said SECOND!

(There's a man outside with a really noisy leaf blower, and I can't concentrate on the marking pile while he's whizzing around, so this isn't just skiving off and having fun - it's a proper displacement activity)
this man links to both yours and mine as he was on the roundabout and in Blackpool last week
btw Steve Davis can currently be seen every evening on your tellybox in the current series of IACGMOH! Can I just add for the record that I have never seen it and only know he is there because MrB was having his usual rant about "celebrities" and not knowing who these people were so i looked up who was in it.

I don't know which is the happier thought: Dylan playing Blackpool in 2013, or Steve (snooker players don't do daylight) Davis up the jungle... Mrs B, you are spoiling us with your trivia!
i used to love this show at lunchtimes back in the late seventies. I always remember him saying to the witch 'hello little old lady' Silly childhood memory.

My nana made me an Andy Pandy in proper blue and white stripes (not sure how we knew what colour his jamas were, come to think of it) ; I think the pattern was in Womens Weekly.
Oh look - I must still be thinkng of the Director General
the toilet in my last post is outside the Tate Modern i think, it is made from 1 way glass that looks like mirrors from the outside but you can see through it clearly from the inside. Mad!
OK, so it's also Art with a capital A... I musy check it out - one day when I'm not busting for a wee, that is,merely to watch the expressions on people's faces on their way out... You haven't risked ithave you , Mrs B?
