Hopes? Fears? Predictions? What do you want to happen in it?

It's getting close now and I'm very nervous about it!

I'm nervous because i really enjoyed the ending...I like that its managed to confuse everyone and there are so many posibilities for how it ended!

I'm hoping its just gonna be a little extention to how the trio are coping as humans but still doesnt give us a definitive answer as to whether they are in the real world or not. Although Toby's SFX interview does suggest that that question will be answered....i hope not! lol x

p.s i would like lots of sexy hal stuff....just saying.....

I'd prefer something in the homely surroundings of Honolulu Heights. And a bit of an open ending would be fine by me as well - anything too definite could be..well, too definite...

I agree with Su; anything definite could ruin the ending we were given.

I hope this extra scene still leaves the Being Human story open, so we've always got the chance to revisit it in the future ;)

I think we all feel the same that this isn't the end for being human. If there was a definite ending given then that hope would be ripped away....fingers crossed they still leave it open xx

Yeah, I totally don't want a real definite end.  That would be a bummer. If nothing else, without a real end the show can continue in my head.

Um, for me I would like a definite (happy) ending (that they are human, or something like that); however, for everyone else, and because so many people want it left open, or want a darker ending, then that is what I would wish for too. I would not want to see thousands of fans hurt and angry because Toby resolved the story in a way they did not like. I want the show to remain loved, admired and respected.

Yeah I hope it's left open a bit as I don't think I can cope with 'The end'. I hope Hal gets a lead role in a musical and does some more singing and dancing etc :)

speculation- a few weeks later our happy trinity are getting on with their lives when they notice a glitch in the reality, a cat walks across their path twice, they all look at each other and realize they are not in the real world.

btw I watched The Matrix last night!

how about Allison turns up on the doorstep, rid of her curse, and now because there is no vampires in the world Tom feels it is safe to let her stay. Cut to 1 year later where we have a scene reminiscent of the end of twins where we see Hal and Tom walking through the park pushing a pram each.

mikey - enjoyed your ramblings.  And....yes, yes.....I agree, absolutely.

But what I'm having trouble with is why oh why did 'the devil' offer them the opportunity to be human (which they all apparently turned down) if he could just whisk them off into an alternative reality without their consent?  Why not just do it in the first place (apart from the obvious story-line development opportunities!)

And I'm starting to get very nervous about what this extra final scene is going to do......I'm not sure I can take it all over again!

Thank you fifi

I wouldn't say he offered to make them human. He said it was a grey area and an 'alternative'. From what I remember anyway. Haven't seen it for weeks so might be wrong!

Really interesting thoughts there Mikey! I'd completely forgotten about the origami Tully made for Annie - particularly interesting as Tully was also a corrupting influence and agent of temptation.

I think I diverge from you on the becoming human thing. I'm as ambivalent as the ending itself really.. I found it incredibly moving at first; it was so gently played for one thing, so understated, and I do think the theme of the show at its core is that anyone can be redeemed and the struggle is worth it. I also found the resolution deeply unsatisfying, however, too tidy by half, and was so relieved by the final twisting shot! The struggle that is being human can't end. And that goes for non-supernaturals too!

If there were another series, then finding a way out of this false Eden would make an absolute belter of a storyline. It'd be great for the forces of darkness to go back to being a more abstract threat. Yes, it'd be a bit Matrix, but why the hell not!

@mikey - I have read your offering which is most amusing however the idea that the end of teh devil means the end of evil in the world I do not think is necessarily the case. in his speech to the world Hatch commented how we had done fine without him for the last 100 years and how we had messed up the world ourselves so I do not believe that his demise would make the world all rosy. that said, and despite my proposed story lines, I do think they are in an alternate reality.

No, i like my idea of tom and Hal pushing prams, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy

Mikey - sorry, bad choice of words.  I meant to say he offered them the opportunity to exist as humans in an alternative/dream world.

I'm in serious danger of descending ino obsessive theorzing over it all again......

Tectonic - sounds like the perfect series 6 senario to me!

Right, so I caved and watched The Scene...

Obviously I'm not going to spoil anything, but it played out pretty much exactly as I'd hoped. I think most fans will be pleased ;)

A couple of the deleted scenes included are excellent too and fill in a bit more detail. Particularly like the ones involving Crumb - shame they couldn't be squeezed in.

Extremely excellent ramblings on wordpress Mike.  Of course I read it after seeing the extra scene, but I'd agreed with your views before. smile  But there were a few things in there I hadn't considered, so it was still a pleasant discovery!
