I was curious to see if anyone had discussed this before.  Regus says the Werewolf curse heals what it destroys (or however he said it) and Mitchel says they have liver failure, heart failure etc..... So my question is, if everything is healed, why do they have claw scars?  Are they just the scars they receive when they were infected?  Tom has claw marks on his back, but then there are the scars in his hair too.  I presumed they were from fights.....

Whimsy Toms scars are from when he was attacked as a baby like George's. They are the visible evidence of the curse. What the curse heals is damage done to the body as it transforms not injuries received in the human state or in the full werewolf state, I think. Tully woke up with scratch marks after his Georges fight.

I agree with LBS, I think Mitchell in a narration part mentions all the internal organs and so did Regus. To be honest, if they were to show scars from transformations it'd be a pretty ugly sight and lots of time in make up!! So I think the only marks are what made them what they are
