Oh, Star, all on your lonesome on rewatch night - and there's me, already a day late for my half-term escape to the nearly frozen north because of the storms, without laptop, but discovering something very dodgy going on in my mother's drains - so a few days high in incident, but very lacking in sociable BH action - let's make up for it next week, as you rightly decided!
The maternal drains are fixed and I'm in the mood for a good old-fashioned Wednesday rewatch - is anyone coming out to play this evening? (Mulled cider and parkin are readily available on demand)
Well, im on a deadline. Once again this just isnt a possibility for me. Bit frsutrating that initially there was so much interest in rewatches and now no one comes to join us. Sad i think xx

Knackeringly so, but yes thanks. I've never moved to just next door before (don't ask - please, really, Just Don't Ask) and the plan to rope in a few sturdy students to help me heft all my books for money + beer fell through at the last minute, so I did the whole thing myself apart from a couple of lovely neighbours who stopped by for a mad half-hour of humping bookcases... at least I now know I can heave all my worldly goods from place A to place B over a single weekend and not have an attack of the vapours as a consequence.
The bit where BT screwed up my phone and broadband transfer was much less fun, though.
I saw. Thats why I was happy to roll the episode over to this week. I was kind of expecting no one last week, it was just that I didn't have the foresight to just cancel it before hand!
Good that the move went to well though :D

Wow! You just hit your 800th post - there needs to be a word for that...
ANd I'm still slighly more puzzled by the Sands family C of E front than Mitchell's slightly morbid souvenirs, really. No one spot this before, then?
Thanks!! I'm so unobservent I wouldn't have noticed lol
Not sure if it was discussed on the blog, can't remember. But it could be that George's dad is C of E and his mum Jewish, which would make George Jewish under Jewish law?

Sooo - we need a rallying shout out for all the Old Blogging Ones to answer our questions what are the odds? We could refuse to play any more picture game until we Get Some Answers...but I need my regular fix, it's all a bluff...
Night night, Star - thanks for the quality conversation.
I think the simple answer is that George's Jewishness simply got forgotten and also no maybe no Jewish writers on the team? But also I think they would have tried to avoid stereotypes.
