How many of us watched the pilot when BBC3 originally showed it, way back in 2008? I watched it whilst my newborn daughters slept and thought it was all kinds of brilliant. I really liked the 'original' Mitchell, until I saw 'our' Mitchell! Look forward to hearing what you all make of it.

It was one of the things Lord Toby wanted to change when they got the full series: make the vampires less Anne Rice & gothic & more like the people who fell asleep on the night bus, which was a v good call!
Don't know if any of you are parents & therefore get subjected to Grandpa in my pocket, but the actress who plays the mum in that is also the estate agent who shows Mitchell & George round the pink house. Everytime I see her I think of her rude comment to Mitchell

And I can't fangirl over the MwSaR enough ^.^ I adore BH afterlife. It's the reason I watched past the pilot (because I didn't much like the vampires of the pilot)

Hello! Welcome to the first group rewatch happening here on the being human forum!


Since this is the first time that this rewatch is happening it is a bit of a trial. If you experience any problems or have difficulty commenting or keeping up, let us know in the topic which will be open to comments directly after the rewatch has finished.

I did not exactly knew BH existed back when the pilot was aired. Only tuned in near the end of series 2. But then again I'm in annoying old Germany ;)

I only really started watching at the start of series 3 so didn't see the pilot when it aired, and haven't seen it for a while so will be fun to look right back to the start.

I didnt start watching BH til S5 but I sorta knew bout before then, but i didnt know like when the pilot was aired, I would of probably of been only 9 so... (And its just one "a" in Rachel, but dont worry bout it, sorry im fussy )

I think i did see the pilot on TV coz i remember seeing it and then wondering why there werent more episodes!! I havent seen it since and i dont remember anything about it! xx

I only really got into the show when they reran S1 just before s2
