Not that I'm trying to help anyone get away with bad language (not saying that's what you want, of course!), but if you are writing a 'good' word, try something like c0cktail, then we'll understand what you're talking about! Or for non 'o' words, you can put a random full stop set at a smaller font using the advanced editor, like this - "Peaco.ck"
It is awkward, but I believe forums come with this kind of automated moderation, so can't be helped. I'm not certain though, it'd be best to wait for Su to come along in case she's able to remove the auto-moderation (and that would be if she wants to as well, it'd add extra work if we have to be checking all the posts for language misuse if it offends any one :P)

how is the stuff we type moderated. Some things people type make no sense because they contain certain letter orders. for example if I were to write about someone from London and say they were ****ney look what happens.
Yeah it's not a moderation tthing, unfortunately on the free boards the profanity filter is a fixed feature, not removable or adjustable. it will replace all words considered sweary with the asterisks automatically. there are options with an upgraded board though. ~domino
can I just make it clear that I do not feel a need to swear nor am I a prude who objects to others doing it, I just find it a little irritating when you type a perfectly innocent word that contains letters in a certain order and you end up with a load of stars instead. It was anyothers ****age Annie quote that got me riled as i couldn't understand it.
