Can anyone tell me how to make a link to a website in a post? The editor doesn't seem to have an option (or - more likely - I'm too thick to notice it). Thanks in advance!

And another question (I knew it) - what exactly is the Whiteboard in the member profile?

Hiya!! To make a link active you need to click the option in advanced editor....it looks like a metal chain link, then you enter the link in and it makes it active :)

The whiteboard is just a little space to leave messages for fellow members, if you write on their whiteboard they will get a notification and they can respond by writing on your whiteboard

Hope this helps!! Xx

Thanks Su, I had already started doing the links in HTLM, but this sounds much easier!

You can also just type "["url"]" before the link and [/"url] after the link. not sure which is easier

Glad I'm not the only one still getting the hang of it, ha ha. Love your signature by the way, lurve_bh!

 But don't leave the " " marks in when doing it that way, otherwise you'll end up with something disastrous looking! b

Also if you want to include a named link, you can do it like this (but don't include the speech marks, they're just to prevent this actually creating a link):

"["url=http://www.somethingsomethingsomething.co.uk]This is a link[/url"]"

And then after typing it out that way, instead of seeing a link, you'll see 'This is a link' or whatever you write in that section; take the links in my signature for example.
