Dominic Rook

~No care, all responsibility.~

Dominic Rook, Type 0, age unknown, occupation: Permanent Secretary, Department of Domestic Defense, impecable fashion sense, pretty eyes. That pretty much sums up the facts we know about this guy. Oh, and not to forget: His deadly penmanship ;)

Being head of the DoDD (or MiG, which is a much cooler acronyme) seems to be a family occupation for the Rooks. As Dominic stated in his mails to Alistair it was the work of his father and grandfather before him. And family differences and diffcult childhoods aside that seems a legacy he will protect at all costs.

His job of keeping supernaturals hidden is pretty much Dominic's whole life. Without it he pretty soon resorts to attempted suicide and hotline ladies. And he's willing to sacrifice everything and everyone (*cough* Natasha *cough*)  for his job which becomes very clear when budget cuts lead to his department being disolved. He is quite willing to move heaven and hell to get his department back and no number of casualties is too high because, in the end, it's all "for the greater good". Now if that isn't the most overused excuse ever... But in the end, he gets his will, never mind that it took The Devil (capital letters, we're in trouble for sure) and the death of most Barry citizens to make Alistair see sense.

But when he's not desperate Mr Rook is a rather intelligent and resourceful person. And rather nicely creepy, too. He also rather locks supernaturals up then kill them, some of them for decades. He's not a monster hunter, not any kind of "Van Helsing", he's not interested in eradicating the monsters, just in protecting humanity from the fall-out of the supernaturals coming out of the closet. The proverbial one, of course, not the one in your room, no need to close the door, you're perfectly fine...

Steven Robertson

Born at Vidlin in 1980 he attended the Lunnasting Primary SchoolBrae High School, and Anderson High School, before attending the Fife College in Kirkaldy, where he was named 'Student of the year'.
After college, in 2004, he became the first Shetlander to be accepted into the Guildhall acting school in London, where he received an Honours BA in Acting.

Steven's ability and success as an actor is even more remarkable, given the fact that he suffered from, and overcame, severe dyslexia.

(This is pretty much stolen from here: http://shetlopedia.com/Steven_Robertson and here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Robertson)

personally, I rather adore his performance in Luther, creepy, deadly, and evil. What more can a girl ask for? ;)
